The first storms of the season find every blocked downspout at once. We clear the trough by hand, flush every run and downspout, and confirm the water actually leaves the roof and drains away from the house — then photograph the result so you can see it without a ladder.

- 01The gutters are photographed as found — the debris load, any sagging, separations or loose hangers — before anything is touched.
- 02Debris comes out by hand into a bag. It is never flushed into the downspout, because that is exactly how downspouts get blocked.

- 04Every downspout is flushed. One that turns out to be packed solid is cleared from the bottom up and quoted as its own line.
- 05We confirm water exits the downspout and drains away from the foundation and the planting beds, not into them.

Placer County trees fill a gutter faster than most.
Oak leaves in Granite Bay and Loomis, pine needles in Auburn and the foothills, and the seed litter that comes with mature landscaping all end up in the same place. Needle litter is the worst of it — it mats down, holds water against the fascia long after the rain stops, and packs into downspout elbows where a hose alone will not move it.
That is why the debris comes out by hand first and the flush comes second. Flushing a full gutter just moves the problem into the downspout.
Timing is simple: after most of the leaves are down and before the first real storms. In Placer County that window runs roughly October to January. Under heavy tree cover, a second pass after winter is worth considering.

Downspouts are bagged during a roof soft wash and the two jobs share the same setup and ladder work, so booking them together is the efficient way to do it. Gutter cleaning is also booked on its own, and pairs naturally with exterior window cleaning.

A gutter that is sagging, pulling off the fascia or separated at a seam needs a repair, not a clean. We photograph it, put it in your report, and leave the repair to whoever does that work for you.
Gutter guards reduce what gets in; they do not stop it. Fine debris still collects on top of the guard and in the downspout. We tell you at the assessment what we can reach with the guards in place and what we cannot.
Your landscaping and propertyDownspouts drain into your beds and lawn, so we check where the water goes rather than assuming. Landscaping below the work is pre-wet before we start and rinsed after; debris is bagged, not left in the yard.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
After the leaves are down and before the rain. Under heavy oaks or pines it can want a second pass in late winter. The assessment gives you an interval for your property rather than a rule of thumb.
Does roof cleaning include the gutters?
Not by itself. During a roof soft wash the downspouts are bagged so the wash never runs into them; a full clear-and-flush of every trough and downspout is its own line on the quote, and we schedule the two together whenever we can.
Do you repair gutters?
No — we clean, flush and check flow. Anything that needs a repair is photographed and noted in your report so you have something concrete to hand to whoever does the repair.
What happens to the debris?
It comes out by hand into a bag and leaves with us. Nothing is blown into the yard or flushed down the downspout.
Do gutter guards need cleaning?
Yes. Guards keep the big leaves out, but fine material builds up on top of them and the downspouts still collect what gets through. We look at the guard type at the assessment and tell you honestly what a clean can and cannot reach.
